Starting a board
Everything about starting a board: the cost, the places, the review and free boards from a coupon link.
How much does it cost to start a board?
Starting a board costs $1, charged when you submit it. Adding a place to an existing board is free.
How many places does a new board need?
Add at least 3 places and at most 10. Your vote goes to the place you rank first.
What happens after I submit a board?
A board is checked automatically and, if needed, by a reviewer. If a board is rejected, or ends up with no places, the $1 is refunded.
Can a board be for a state or a county?
No. A board is for one city and is titled Best [topic] in [city]. County, state and country pages add up the votes cast on the city boards of that area; you vote on the city boards, not on those pages.
What can a board be about?
Any topic, from a dish to a plumber to a marketing company. Close matches to an existing topic may be held for a reviewer, so a topic is not always live at once.
I came from an influencer’s link. How do I get a free board?
A link with a coupon code is remembered by your browser, and the code is redeemed after you sign in. The free board is applied when you start a board, in place of the $1. A coupon is never a discount on anything else.
Why can I not edit a place’s details?
A place’s name, address, website and phone come from Google and are shown as Google lists them. If something is wrong, report it. The owner of a claimed page can correct other details, such as hours and links.
