About LocalsVoted

Your city’s best, voted by locals.

What it is

LocalsVoted is a website where locals vote for the best in their city, on any topic. Rank comes only from votes.

The site is made of public boards titled "Best [topic] in [city]". Anyone can start a board for any topic in a city, from a dish to a plumber to a marketing company, and people in that city vote for the places they think are best. Each board shows its top ten, and winners are published when a month closes. County, state and country pages add up the votes cast on the city boards of that area.

How it stays fair

• Rank comes only from votes. There are no star ratings, reviews or editors.
• One vote per person, per board, per month.
• Every voter signs in with a mobile number, so one number means one person.
• Rank cannot be bought. A business can pay for extras like photos and analytics, and none of it touches the order.
• Votes are private. We show how many votes a place has, never who voted for what.
